NEW DELHI: Three postgraduate students of the state-run BJ Medical College in Pune have been suspended and removed from their hostel for allegedly ragging junior doctors, said an official from the institute on Wednesday.
The medical college initiated disciplinary measures following a complaint lodged against three second-year postgraduate students from the Orthopaedic Department, according to Dr Eknath Pawar, dean of the medical college affiliated with Sassoon General Hospital.

The accused students allegedly targeted four junior medical students within their department. They are said to have subjected the juniors to mental harassment, occasional physical abuse, and threatening language.
"The parents of the students first approached Mantralaya (state secretariat) in Mumbai. On Monday, the college authorities received a complaint. We formed a committee to investigate the matter. Based on the findings, three PG students were suspended and removed from their hostel," said Dr Pawar.
A probe is underway, he added.
