Russia launched a massive overnight drone assault on Ukraine, firing over 100 unmanned aerial vehicles, even as international pressure mounted on Moscow to agree to a 30-day ceasefire starting Monday.According to Ukraine's air force, the barrage began at 11:00 pm on May 11 and involved 108 Shahed drones and other UAVs, with 55 of them shot down by Ukrainian defenses by 8:30 am. The attacks caused damage across multiple regions.In the southern Odesa region, one person was injured and residential buildings were damaged. In the eastern Donetsk region, drone strikes hit railway infrastructure, wounding a train driver. "Ceasefire proposals are being ignored, and the enemy continues attacks on railway infrastructure," said Ukraine’s national railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia.

Despite the escalation, diplomatic efforts continue.
