Stephen Curry says “Even if I wanted to be Superman, I couldn’t” as Golden State Warriors continue to struggle

Golden State Warriors face immense pressure, trailing 3-1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, amplified by Stephen Curry's hamstring injury. Curry dismisses hopes of a miraculous return, stating he can't be 'Superman' to fix it quickly, despite Draymond Green's earlier remarks. Fans express mixed reactions, with some urging rest and others demanding his return for a championship push.

The pressure is building as the Golden State Warriors trail 3-1 in their second-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This has made the absence of their star performer, Stephen Curry, even more costly, as he is forced to rest while still recovering from a hamstring injury. Curry has now said that even if he were Superman, he couldn’t fix the injury, which is taking its own sweet time to heal.

Stephen Curry responds to Draymond Green’s “Superman” remark

Recently, Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green commented on hopes for Curry returning in Game 5. He said, “We're not going to Superman this thing. If he's in a place where he can play, I'm sure he will. Him and Rick [Celebrini] and everybody will figure that out. But we don't need Superman. Gotta play the long game. If he can, we know he will. But there's no pressure. We've got to figure out how to win whether he plays or not.”Responding to the same, Curry told @andscape, “Even if I wanted to be Superman, I couldn’t.” This makes it clear that Curry is not returning anytime soon and will wait for clearance from the medical team.Commenting on Curry’s statement, an NBA enthusiast wrote on X, “Way too risky to bring him back.” Another said, “And that’s 100% okay heal up fully goat.” One more said, “Just sit him out…this series is a wash.” A tweet also read: “Well, that puts to rest those @warriors fans' speculation whether @StephenCurry30 comes back for Game 5 or not. It was a good run. Heal this offseason, have surgery on your thumb if necessary, rest and come back next season for another run. Let Kuminga cook. Keep him long term.”
However, an X user with a different view said, “Curry needs to give it his all if he wants a championship because it’s not happening next year. If this man is even 70% they are capable of winning the next 3 games.” “Man I don’t wanna wait another 6 months to watch Curry,” said another. Also Read: Stephen Curry shares lovely family photos, honors wife Ayesha Curry in emotional Mother’s Day post for herThe Golden State Warriors are yet to prove that they can survive the NBA playoffs without Curry.
