Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs have guaranteed themselves a spot in the Super Bowl by defeating the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC Championship Game. Adorable moments at Arrowhead stadium between Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, ensued after the game.
After coming out as triumphant in the AFC Championship match, the Kansas City Chiefs confirmed their spot with the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59. Ahead of that game, Kelce commented upon the encounter he is set to face. Well, at a glance, one could feel the eagerness or excitement with which he talks.

The Chiefs have reached the final of the Super Bowl for the third time, aiming to win it three times. Philadelphia, on the other hand, is aiming to avenge their Super Bowl 57 defeat and win the Super Bowl for the first time. Travis Kelce, who expressed his excitement for the match, believes the outcome will be a memorable one. The Chiefs' victory will be a tale to tell for years.

In the New Heights podcast episode, Kelce praised the Eagles as a superb football team and predicted them to be the best team Kansas City will face this season. "And it's man, it's going to be electric. It's going to be absolutely electric," Kelce said. "We know Philly's got the sour taste in their mouth from the last one. And you know that and they're a hell of a fucking football team, man. This would be the best team we play all year.”
The last Super Bowl match between Kansas City and the Eagles was thrilling, with Kansas City winning 38-35 on Harrison Butker's 27-yard field goal, marking the third-most points in Super Bowl history. The 340 yards by the Chiefs in that game were their fewest in their four Super Bowl appearances during Patrick Mahomes' career.
The Chiefs offensive approach has changed since 2022 as Mahomes has had to take a more cerebral approach this season due to the fact that many of his players are not explosive anymore, in particular Kelce aged 35 and Rashee Rice who showed promise but tore his LCL Week 4. Many of the principal players from last year's matchup with the Eagles are back for Super Bowl 59.

The 2024 version of the Eagles team, just like last season, doesn't start with Miles Sanders at running back, instead it features Saquon Barkley, who is so far having a season for the history books despite what Sanders did last season. The Eagles defense is much better today than in 2022, ranking second in the NFL in points allowed per game and also top defensive DVOA as opposed to being eighth last year.

Regardless of any season performance, Chiefs have always been given the benefit of the doubt by playoff opponents. When Eagles meet Kansas City in Super Bowl 59 on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome, they are eyeing to become the first team to put, after the 2021 AFC Championship Game, a playoff loss on Kansas City.
