Connor McDavid has put all his efforts into winning the Stanley Cup this year. But the Edmonton Oilers’ Game 5 against the Vegas Golden Knights was an eventful day. While the Oilers ended up winning the game, their fans got into a physical fight with each other. But away from all the chaos, Connor McDavid spoke to the media and appeared pretty composed. However, the captain of the Edmonton Oilers also sounded frustrated.

Connor McDavid got angry due to a specific question and fans stand by him

While speaking to the media after Game 5’s win, Connor McDavid was asked about the Edmonton Oilers’ defense and this clearly angered the captain.
Connor McDavid appeared upset and frustrated by the question as he said, “I mean, how many times are we gonna answer this question, really, like honestly? It's frustrating that we keep talking about this.”The captain of the Edmonton Oilers continued, “We can defend. We can. We've shown that time and time again. Come into a tough building and win a 1–0 game when it matters most. We can play that way, we can score goals. Whatever it takes, we can win games” and fans stand by him.

Fans fully support Connor McDavid’s reaction to the question he was asked

A fan joked, “You might as well ask if he likes ketchup”, while another fan wrote, “we are literally the 2nd best defensive team in the playoffs with florida being first. They can play defense.”
A third fan commented, “PSA: Get out of his way and his team”, while another fan wrote, “The press is limited beyond belief relative to their intellectual capacities. Most of them in the barn do not even know what they are looking at…”
A fifth fan noted, “These idiot reporters wonder why atheletes get short and annoyed by questions, it's because they ask the same shit time, and time, and time again. Always with a negative slant, looking for a sound bite.”In the same interview, Connor McDavid also stood up for Edmonton Oilers’ goaltender Stuart Skinner after he blocked all 24 shots and fans are in awe of the captain. Also Read: "Fans tougher than Leafs’ players": Brad Marchand smirks at fired-up Maple Leafs fan as he comes face to face with him
