Everything you need to know about Arizona Diamondbacks City Connect uniform

The official Diamondbacks X account has changed its background and profile picture to match the vibe and color of the new City Connect uniform. However, the uniform is not just another pretty piece of fabric as there's a deeper meaning to it.
While the color purple represents the night dessert sky of Arizona, teal speaks of the iconic nightlife of the state. As a replacement of the classic pinstripes, the Diamondbacks have a snakeskin pattern in the form of pinstripes, which not only matches the “Serpientes” on the jersey, but also pays an ode to the 2016-2019 uniforms, giving a nice twist to the look.
Apart from that, the faux sleeves are a representation of the 2001 World Series vest in which the team won the title. As a tribute to the state flag, the uniform has combined the flag pattern with that of the team logo and attached it to the sleeve patch. Coming to the “Serpientes" written on the front, it gives a throwback to the Diamondbacks' first City Connect uniform. Moreover, the jock tag combines the numbers 1998 and 48 into one, a clear representation of the year when the team was established and Arizona being the 48th state. The only thing that is going to make a brand new debut is the serpentine-designed S logo on the cap.
