Padma Lakshmi's daughter Krishna has been making brief appearances on mom's social media profiles of late. She recently turned 15, and proud mamma wrote a heartfelt note for her. She shared some heartwarming throwback pictures on Instagram, and wrote, "Littlehands is getting bigger!!! 15!!!!!!!! I can’t believe it. Every day of the last 15 years has been an adventure. Happy birthday Krishna Thea. I love you once, I love you twice, I love you more than beans and rice. Some of you may remember the moment in the first slide from my memoir."

Born in 2010
Celebrity chef and author Padma Lakshmi welcomed her daughter Krishna Thea Lakshmi on Feb 20, 2010. She has previously spoken about being diagnosed with endometriosis before Krishna was conceived. She was also told she might not be able to conceive. Back then, Padma Lakshmi has revealed that she was devastated. The pregnancy was a surprise, and according to her motherhood was such a joy.

Padma Lakshmi kept the identity of Krishna's father private
Padma Lakshmi initially kept the identity of Krishna's father a secret. However, she eventually revealed that businessman Adam Dell was her father. They were together on and off from 2009 to 2021. "It certainly was icky when the press started snooping around in various countries — not just America, but in India, England, Australia," Padma Lakshmi earlier said on the Me Becoming Mom podcast.


Big family
Padma Krishna once said that she was essentially a single mom to her daughter. But she had a whole village to take care of the child! "In truth, I am a single mother. But I don't feel alone at all in parenting my daughter. Krishna has a whole other side of her family who loves her, too. And so Krishna is parented by me, but also by her grandmother and aunts and cousins and uncles and friends," she earlier told People.

Krishna likes to cook
Krishna often appears in mom Padma's cooking videos. She seems to following in her mom's footsteps. "The other day she FaceTimed me to ask, 'Mom, how hot does oil have to be to fry chicken' I was like, 'What? That's too dangerous!' But she was adamant about doing it, so I walked her through the steps," she earlier revealed.
