Following his ‘joker’ remark about the cricketer, the singer reportedly faced cyberattacks from Virat’s supporters.Amidst the chaos, Virat’s brother Vikas Kohli responded to Rahul’s ongoing social media activities.
Vikas posted on his thread, stating: “Bache, itni mehnat agar apni singing pe kar le toh shayad apni mehnat se famous ho jaaye... While the whole nation is focused on the current situation, this idiot is on a mission to gain followers and become famous by using Virat's name... WHAT A LOSER.”

After netizens expressed curiosity over Virat’s likes on Avneet's bold pictures, Virat issued a clarification on social media, stating: “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding (sic).” Soon after, Rahul uploaded a video in which he took a dig at the star cricketer, claiming that Virat had blocked him on Instagram and sarcastically suggesting that even this could be blamed on Instagram’s algorithm. He later shared that several social media users had verbally abused him and his wife via messages after he called Virat a ‘joker’.
