Ram Charan is celebrating his 40th birthday today with a special gift for his fans as the makers released the first look of his upcoming film, 'Peddi.' Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Ram Charan is seen in a rugged and intense avatar. However, the internet was quick to draw comparisons between Ram Charan's look in 'Peddi' and other mega-blockbuster films.

Fans reaction
On X (formerly Twitter), netizens draw comparisons between Ram Charan's look in 'Peddi' and Allu Arjun's iconic character from 'Pushpa: The Rise.' Fans noted similarities in the intensity and ruggedness of both characters, with some even comparing it to Yash's look from 'KGF: Chapter 1'. While some fans saw this as a nod to 'Pushpa,' others argued that Ram Charan's earlier rustic role in 'Rangasthalam' might have inspired Allu Arjun's look.

The first-look posters of 'Peddi' reveal Ram Charan in a striking transformation. One poster shows him intensely lighting a beedi, while another captures him holding a cricket bat in a rustic village stadium, illuminated by floodlights.

A fan wrote, “Naku okkadikena meku kuda #Pushpa and #kgfchapter1 first look gurthochinda #Peddi (Is it just me, or does this remind you too of Pushpa and KGF Chapter 1’s first looks?)"
Another X user wrote, "People comparing #Pushpa with #PEDDI will realize soon both are very different genres, though the actors look similar. Pushpa is an out-and-out mass entertainer, but PEDDI is more of an emotional sports drama with some heroic stuff."

'Peddi' boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma. The music is composed by the legendary AR Rahman.
The film is rumored to be hitting the silver screen in March 2026.
