Natural star Nani recently shared an experience while taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane when he watched his iconic sports drama 'Jersey' during its theatrical re-release. The screening was extra special as he shared the moment with his young son, Arjun.
While speaking with OTTPlay, Nani mentioned how the theater was filled with 800-900 enthusiastic people during the film’s re-release which turned into a surreal experience. He further shared that the audience's love for the film was seen as they cheered and recreated one of the movie's key scenes in real life. The scene involved Ronit Kamra's character (Arjun's onscreen son) bowing down in respect, which inspired the entire theatre to stand up and mimic the gesture. Sitting beside his son, Nani described it as an unforgettable moment. While his son didn’t quite grasp why the audience was reacting so passionately, for Nani, it was worth everything.
He said, "Me and my son were watching and it was his first time watching Jersey. He was sitting next to me, and there were a lot of screaming and cheering just before the interval. That was my 'Jersey' moment and my son did not understand why the audience were doing that. I remember that look, and it is worth everything."
