Indian Army Recruitment 2025: Notice Released for Vacancies With Monthly Salary Up to Rs 1.2 Lakh

The Indian Army has announced its 2025 recruitment drive for the Remount and Veterinary Corps (RVC), inviting applications from veterinary graduates for Short Service Commission roles. A total of 20 vacancies are available, with the deadline for applications set for May 26, 2025.

The Indian Army has officially launched its 2025 recruitment drive for the prestigious Remount and Veterinary Corps (RVC), inviting applications from qualified veterinary graduates for Short Service Commission (SSC) roles. This opportunity is open to both male and female candidates, with the deadline for applications set as May 26, 2025.The RVC plays a vital role in the Indian Army by managing the care, breeding, and training of military animals such as horses, mules, and dogs. Candidates selected through this drive will be commissioned with the rank of Captain and undergo training at the RVC Centre and College, Meerut Cantt, Uttar Pradesh.

Indian Army Recruitment 2025: Who can apply?

To apply, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc or BVSc & AH) from a recognised university. Applicants must be Indian citizens or Nepalese nationals. People who have moved to India from certain countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, or Vietnam and plan to live here permanently can also apply, but they must have a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India. Applicants should be between 21 and 32 years old as of May 26, 2025.

Number of Vacancies in RVC

The Indian Army has announced a total of 20 vacancies, including 17 posts for male candidates and 3 for female candidates. The selection procedure includes:
  • Initial screening of applications
  • SSB interview (Services Selection Board)
  • Preparation of a merit list
  • Medical examination for final selection
Those who clear all stages will be inducted into the RVC and play an essential role in the specialized veterinary services of the Army.

Salary and Benefits Under Indian Army Recruitment Drive

Successful candidates will be entitled to a basic salary of Rs 61,300 under the Level-10B pay matrix. They will also receive:
  • Military Service Pay (MSP) of Rs 15,500
  • Non-Practice Allowance (NPA) of 20% on basic pay
  • Additional allowances like Kit Maintenance Allowance (KMA) and Dearness Allowance (DA)
The total in-hand salary is expected to range from Rs 80,000 to Rs 1,20,000, depending on location and applicable allowances.
